Innokin Zenith 2 Tank FAQs
1) Is the Innokin Zenith 2 Tank a true MTL tank?
Yes — the Zenith 2 is primarily designed for mouth-to-lung vaping, with airflow control that can be tightened for a cigarette-style draw. It can also do restricted direct-lung with the right coil, but it performs best as a dependable everyday MTL tank.
2) Why does my Zenith 2 Tank gurgle after refilling?
Gurgling usually happens when too much liquid enters the coil chamber during filling. To reduce it:
- Close airflow slightly before filling
- Don’t overfill (leave a small air gap)
- After filling, take a few gentle puffs without firing to balance pressure
If needed, remove the tank and clear the chimney by blowing gently through the drip tip into tissue.
3) Can I use nic salts in the Zenith 2 with the 0.3Ω coil?
It’s not recommended. The 0.3Ω coil is designed for higher power and a more open draw, which can make nic salts feel too strong (and harsh) at higher wattages. For nic salts, the 0.8Ω or 1.2Ω Z-Coils are a much better match.
4) What’s the best airflow setting for the Zenith 2 Tank?
For MTL, start with the airflow nearly closed and open it slightly until the draw feels comfortable. For restricted DTL, open the airflow wider and use a lower resistance coil. Small adjustments make a big difference on the Zenith 2, so it’s worth fine-tuning.
5) How do I prime a Z-Coil properly to avoid burnt hits?
Before vaping a new coil:
- Fit the coil securely
- Fill the tank
- Let it sit for 5–10 minutes
- Start at the low end of the wattage range and work up slowly
This gives the cotton time to saturate and massively reduces the chance of dry hits.
