Despite making a name as a brand for powerful and large vape mods that Sub-Ohm vape, Geekvape is still recognised as an excellent manufacturer of pod kits. Previous examples including the Geekvape Wenax Q Pro highlights clever designs and simple features to operate and vape mouth to lung. One of the latest and perhaps greatest examples of MTL pod kits from Geekvape, the purpose of today’s review, is the Geekvape Digi Max.
Let’s break down the key features, who will appreciate and regularly use this pod kit and how the device looks and feels in the hand.
What Type of Vaper Will Love This Device?
For ex-smokers and former disposable users, look no further than the Digi Max as a one-stop solution to reduce nicotine levels and customise vaping. The kit delivers a smooth and familiar experience thanks to its coil choices and pod style.
For flavour chasers and light cloud enthusiasts, the Digi Max shines with its mesh coil design and advanced top-airflow system. The variety of pods offer rich, dense vapour, while four different power modes including Boost Mode enhances the flavour profile of fruity and dessert vape juices.
Finally, on-the-go vapers and style-conscious users will love the long-lasting 3000mAh battery, rapid Type-C charging (50% in just 20 minutes) and the convenience of both draw-activation and button firing. The 1.47″ touchscreen provides a modern, easy-to-use interface, while the RGB lighting adds a touch of flair. Whether you’re commuting, travelling, or just want a pod kit that looks as good as it performs, the Digi Max is designed to fit seamlessly into your lifestyle.

How Does the Geekvape Digi Max Perform?
We love the flexibility for performance this device provides. Upon testing, we found it operates best when the airflow is fully open, so is suited more towards RDL vaping than MTL vaping. The flavour profile from a mixture of vape juice types is rich and the cloud production is impressive for a 80W max output.
The 0.4 Ohm pod creates a warm vape and works best when vaped with the airflow wide open, offering a RDL vape to be reckoned with. If you like to increase the wattage and prefer a cooler vape, move up in Ohms to the 0.6 Ohm pod with the airflow more restricted.
When paired with the Geekvape J Pods (previously made for Geekvape J-series of kits), vapers can pick between the below resistances and recommended wattages:
- 0.4 Ohm (best vaped at 23-28W)
- 0.6 Ohm (best vaped at 16-21W)
- 0.8 Ohm (best vaped at 12-17W)
- 1.2 Ohm (best vaped at 8-12W)
Why the Digi Max vapes up to 80W when the lowest resistance pod is recommended at a maximum of 28W is a question for Geekvape. It is nice however to have a wide range of resistances to pick from to tweak and fine tune to reach the optimal vape experience and nicotine satisfaction needed.
Soon Geekvape is expected to release the 0.2 and 0.3 Ohm pods, so we are expecting that wattage recommendation to be closer to the maximum output provided from the Digi Max.
Another bonus point of the Digi Max, which was released in tandem with the Geekvape Digi Pro, is the additional JR pods available. These are empty pods without coils that want to buy the Geekvape J coils separately.
To summarise, the Geekvape Digi Max offers plenty of ways to vape in a range of resistances. The device is comfortable to hold and produces rich and dense flavour from nic salts, high PG or even high VG e-liquids or shortfills.
Design and Build Quality
The Digi Max (available in eight colours) is a heavier device than standard pod kits, with a chunky look and feel. This is because of the larger 3000mAh capacity and weighs 127g. It features a 1.4-inch TFT display and a 1.6A fast charging type-c port.
The screen size is large and on the front of the device for easy operation, with the fire button just above. The e-liquid levels are visible with a wide mouthpiece for a MTL or RDL vape.
There is a also a locking switch located on the base of the kit for easy turn on and off functionality, as well as rubber coating at the base to protect the charge port.
The adjustable airflow pods are removable from the device thanks and fit into place comfortably to the four magnetic contacts, which firmly holds the 2ml pod in place.
A handy design feature allows the vaper to fill the device without needing to remove the pod from the device unless you prefer that way. A much easier process for refilling e-liquid on the go. The airflow control has four settings which is a little loose to toggle between the different restrictions, whether you prefer a tighter or looser draw.
Once you turn on the device, the RGB lighting display either side of the display screen is a cool and unique feature (which can be turned off but should be left in our opinion). It is possible to switch the colour modes, adjust the brightness and alternate between four power modes. Operating the device is very easy to adjust the wattage via the touchscreen display and very customisable for personal preference.

How to Operate the Digi Max: Simple Setup
- Five clicks to turn the device on and off.
- On the main menu, the animation highlights the battery percentage top right, pod Ohm resistance top left of the screen, resistance in the centre of the display and the power mode you are in underneath the selected wattage.
- At the bottom of the display is the puff counter.
- When activating the screen, a prompt will show that the vaper slides the screen to unlock.
- To change between the power modes, swipe left or right on the screen.
- To alter the wattage output, slide up and down on the screen.

Internal or External Battery Life?
As mentioned previously, this is a 3000mAh internal battery. Whether this is the right kit for you or not depends on how often you vape and how on demand you wish your vape kit to be. For instant vaping, we suggest an external battery mod typically, but with the Digi Max, because it has such a large capacity, with one full charge it will at the very minimum last a full day, even with heavy use and high VG e-liquids and power that will drain the battery faster.
Advantages
- Airflow controller on the pod itself is a great feature.
- Very easy to fill with the larger rubber plug on the side. Another bonus is you can fill the device with the pod still locked on the top.
- Clear bold display screen with touchscreen interaction is simple to use.
- Unlock button conveniently placed on the base of the Digi Max.
- Geekvape offers the option of closed pods and open pods, so you can pick whether you want to change the coils yourself or not!
Disadvantages
Final Verdict
After testing and comparing against the Digi Pro and considering the other pod kits at Vsavi, there are more positives than negatives with this device. The Digi Max provides an effective vape device and pod system to create MTL, RDL or DTL inhalation to a high level. The touchscreen function is a nice feature which many vapers will like but in comparison to the Digi Pro that has touchscreen buttons, may feel a little clunky at first, so this difference is something to consider.
Despite the few minor subjective disadvantages we recognise some vapers may not like, as a general overview, we think the Digi Max with a large 3000mAh battery capacity kit is going to be a clear contender for many vapers who love pod kits that are efficient to fill and vape a variety of different e-liquids in multiple vape styles. Well done again Geekvape!
