How Does Vaping CBD Make You Feel?

If you are already vaping but new to CBD products, you are probably wondering what the difference is to regular vaping and more importantly how it feels when you vape with CBD.

First of all, CBD does not contain any THC which is the part that makes you feel ‘high’ so no matter how you consume CBD, you will never have that reaction. There are some key differences when vaping with CBD as opposed to taking it in oral drops or other supplements. We will get to how to vape CBD shortly, but first a little background on CBD and what to look for when choosing your CBD e-liquid.

WHAT IS CBD?

You may have heard your friends and family utter this three-letter initialism in conversation, but I bet you're wondering, what on earth CBD is. CBD refers to the now hugely popular cannabis extract Cannabidiol. One of over a hundred known cannabinoids found to exist in the family of plants associated with cannabis, CBD is a chemical compound that doesn't get you high like its cannabinoid counterpart, THC.

Many use CBD as a supplement, much like they would their daily dose of vitamin C, magnesium or iron. CBD has become so popular that you're now likely to find the compound as a featured ingredient in numerous household items. From beauty products such as moisturisers and lip balms to food and drink items like chocolate, water and beer; CBD is being used by millions of people around the world daily.

CBD OIL VS. CBD VAPE OIL

Upon perusing the wealth of CBD products that are available to you both online and on the high street, before buying, you must be able to distinguish the difference between CBD oil and CBD vape oil (also known as CBD e-liquid).

CBD oil is designed to be used in several ways, but its primary function is to be taken sublingually by placing a few drops directly under your tongue. Hold for up to 90 seconds before swallowing any remaining oil that hasn't been absorbed by your mucus glands (known for their particularly direct access to your bloodstream).

As such, a few drops of CBD oil can also be added to your favourite food and drink items as a way to provide a more flavourful experience for you. Blended with organic olive oil; concentrations of CBD sourced from high-grade hemp extract are then added. This means as well as ingesting the oil; you can also use it topically on your skin and enjoy all the benefits a relaxing massage can bring.

Vaping CBD oil designed for oral use, as opposed to CBD vape oil, will damage your vaporiser and undoubtedly affect your experience and opinion of using CBD.

CBD vape oil is explicitly designed for low powered e-cigarettes or vape pens, and as such should only be used by those who already vape. A tool that has enabled millions of smokers to quit smoking, vaping typically includes nicotine-based, flavoured e-liquid that simulates the experience of smoking while also curbing any nicotine cravings.

Vaping CBD vape oil is an excellent alternative to nicotine-based e-liquids and more importantly, contains no nicotine whatsoever. Where CBD oil is made from CBD and olive oil, ready mixed CBD Vape e-liquid contains Cannabidiol and a blend of Propylene Glycol (PG) and Vegetable Glycerin (VG); the two staple liquid carriers used for traditional e-liquid. If you do not vape, then it is highly recommended that you do not start. You can also buy a CBD vape isolate designed to mix with your favourite e-liquids or add to a ready-mixed CBD e-liquid to increase the strength, as mentioned above no nicotine is included in CBD vape juice, it’s not advised or popular with those who take CBD already to mix the two. The nicotine will only dilute the PG in your CBD vape juice, which is already typically thin.

ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS TO VAPING CBD?

As mentioned, CBD will not get you high like THC is known for. However, any effect that CBD does have on you will vary from person to person depending on a wide variety of factors. From CBD concentration to some more personal aspects such as weight and size, the good news is that any side effects you do experience from vaping CBD Vape oil will be minimal.

How does CBD vape make you feel?

It’s not just the dosage of CBD vaped that will affect how you feel. In addition, the delivery method also plays a role. While taking CBD sublingually is the second strongest method, vaping CBD is certainly the most effective due to its bioavailability. Because it is absorbed faster than placing CBD oil under the tongue, you should err on the side of caution by starting at a lower amount and working your way up to what makes you feel comfortable. Your body should begin to get familiar with vaping CBD, but if any side effects occur and or persist, seek advice from your GP. On occasion vaping CBD could lead to drowsiness so we recommend trying at home initially. Meanwhile, until you get used to CBD, inhale once or twice and leave for 30 minutes before vaping CBD again as chain vaping may cause dizziness.
